Tax Adviser (m/f/d), In-House

We are bringing our tax work in house. You take charge of the annual financial statements and the tax returns of the ESTAYA companies, and you do it in the same building as the people who buy, manage and sell the properties. Questions get answered in the corridor here, not in the spring of the following year.

The ESTAYA group is made up of several companies, corporations as well as partnerships, along with the property and management entities. Until now the accounts have been prepared outside the company. We are changing that because we want to see our figures earlier, and because advice is worth most where the decisions are made. You will build up this area, take the work over step by step and, during the transition, work alongside our current external adviser. Day-to-day bookkeeping is moving in house at the same time, and we are recruiting an accountant for it in parallel.

• You prepare the annual financial statements under German commercial law (HGB) for the companies in the group.
• You take charge of the tax returns, from corporation and trade tax through to the separate and uniform assessment for the partnerships.
• You assess our property transactions from a tax perspective, from acquisition through depreciation to sale.
• You are the point of contact for the tax office, for auditors and for our banks.
• You give the new in-house bookkeeping its professional framework and review what is produced there day by day.
• You take the records over from our external adviser in good order.

• You have passed the German tax adviser examination (Steuerberaterprüfung).
• You have prepared annual financial statements under HGB and taken charge of tax returns for corporations and partnerships.
• You know property from practice, or you are keen to learn it thoroughly.
• You like working in a digital system and find your way around an ERP.
• You can explain tax matters to people who are not tax specialists.
• Excellent written and spoken German.

• Our own ERP system, where properties, contracts and documents come together.
• Short lines to the management. Decisions are made in house.
• An office in the Kaiserliches Postamt, a listed building restored with care, plus free drinks and fresh fruit.
• The handover runs together with our current external adviser, who passes the records on in good order.

You will work at our head office in the listed Kaiserliches Postamt, Moritzstraße 13 in Limbach-Oberfrohna. If Chemnitz is easier for you to reach, a workplace there is possible as well. Just talk to us about it.
